Description
This project is one of a few partly grant funded Schemes under the Berwick upon Tweed Historic Area Improvement Scheme (BHAIS) for a private client. The grant is funded by English Heritage, Northumberland County Council and the National Lottery. The aim of this grant is to bring redundant buildings back into reuse.
The property is located on Castlegate, in Berwick upon Tweed, and is within a conservation area part of the town. On this project we were instructed to produce specifications, design and working drawings and tender documentation for building repairs and a new shopfront.
When producing the new design for the shopfront window we worked with the architectural language of the building while working within the constraints that this proposed by introducing traditional features to the design.
