This project is one of a few partly grant funded Schemes under the Berwick upon Tweed Historic Area Improvement Scheme (BHAIS) for a private client. The grant is funded by English Heritage, Northumberland County Council and the National Lottery. The aim of this grant is to bring redundant buildings back into reuse.
The property is located on Castlegate, in Berwick upon Tweed, and is within a conservation
area part of the town. On this project we were instructed to carry out repairs to
the existing shopfront to replace the rotten and defective timber. As part of the
